At Epsilist, we consider privacy a serious matter. The Internet is a powerful tool that has changed the way people live and do business. In an effort to make the Internet a more enjoyable experience for our visitors, we at Epsilist have gone through great lengths to ensure that the information collected from our visitors remains private, unless they specify otherwise. A Few Defintions

  • Personally Identifiable Information: this is information, such as your name, birth date, e-mail address or mailing address, which can uniquely identify you.
  • Anonymous Information: this is information which is not personally identifiable information. Anonymous information is information about how a visitor uses our site, such as which sections are visited and for how long. Anonymous information also includes the domain name and/or IP addresses (defined below) of Internet browsers that visit our site, the time of day, and other non-personal information which helps us maintain our site for a more enjoyable visit for our visitors. In summary, anonymous information cannot be used to identify a visitor to our site.
  • IP (Internet Protocol) Address: An IP address is a set of numbers that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you log on to the Internet. It is used to send you the information you request in the form of web pages.
  • Cookies: A 'cookie' is a small piece of information which is sent to your browser which places it on your hard disk. Cookies do not damage your computer in any way. We may use cookies for such things as not showing you the same ads too many times. Epsilist cookies can only be accessed by Epsilist.

What this Privacy Policy covers

  • This Privacy Policy dictates our commitment to keeping private any personally identifiable information gathered from visitors on the Epsilist site.
  • This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices, concerning privacy, of any firm which advertises or is hosted on Epsilist. Each firm has their own Privacy Policy which we urge you to read before doing  business with them.

How Personally Identifiable Information is Collected and Used

When you sign up for The Epsilist Club or or send us a request for a product or service, we may ask for your email address, gender, birth date, occupation, industry and/or personal interests and whether you wish to receive special information emails. This information is seen and kept only by Epsilist.

This information is also used to tailor the information we send you by email, if, and only if, you request it. We do not give away, rent or sell your  personal information to any advertisers or firms hosted on Epsilist or other third parties.

You may change your personal information at any time by emailing us at info@epsilist.com.

Please note: unless we are responding to a court order, subpoena or other legal process or circumstances beyond our control, we will not share your personally indentifiable information with anyone.

 

How Anonymous Information is Collected and Used

Whenever you visit the Epsilist site, anonymous information is collected by our server and used for the sole purpose of maintaining our site for a more enjoyable visit for our visitors. We use this information to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, and to help us make our site more useful. We generally delete this information after one year. Other sites on the Internet have the practice to sell this information to marketing companies, Epsilist does not sell, rent or give away this information.

 

The Use of Cookies

Epsilist may, on occasion, send cookies to your browser. We do this to ensure such things as you not seeing the same ads too many times.  Only Epsilist has access to Epsilist cookies. You may email us if you do not wish us to send you cookies. In this case, a blank Epsilist cookie will be sent to your browser to stop our server from sending and accessing other Epsilist cookies.

Please note: The  advertisers and firms hosted on Epsilist may send cookies to your browser for their own purposes. Epsilist can not control these practices.

 

The use of IP Addresses

Epsilist does not ordinarily link a user's IP address to a person's personal information. This means that we have a record of each user's visit but each user remains anonymous to us.

Please note: We will use IP addresses to identify users if we are responding to a legal process or feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with our site's Term and Conditions of use or to protect other users, our site or service.

 

Security

Epsilist has measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of visitor data under our control. A limited  number of employees have access to this data. While we cannot guarantee that such loss, misuse or alteration will not occur, we do try to prevent it with the latest security technology available to us.

Epsilist reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. All changes will appear on this page and we will use commercially reasonable efforts to inform you of any substantial changes.
